Pay attention to yourself.
Are you showing signs of weariness?
- Are you praying less and less?
- Are you more impatient and critical?
- Has caring for others begun to feel like a burden?
- Does it feel like you are simply going through the motions each week?
Could it be that you are trying to lead for God rather than with Him? Going it alone
in our leadership will leave us weary every time.
The best remedy for a weary Leader is for her to find refreshment
in spending time with God.
Right now we are in the middle of The 40 Day Prayer Challenge by Mark Batterson. This is just one example of a great way to replenish your soul.
Maybe you’ve missed a few days, maybe you haven’t yet begun. Now is a good time to start keeping that regular appointment with God.
You’ll be amazed how quickly your leadership and more importantly your soul will gain new luster. Not only will you benefit, those you lead will be impacted as they notice the change in you.
